The boy in the striped pyjamas

This movie is a Holocaust drama that explores the horror of a World War II Nazi extermination camp through the eyes of two 8 years old boys; on the son of the camp's Nazi commandant, the other a Jewish inmate.

What type of movie is it?
Historical drama.

Why do I like this movie?
I like this movie because although is really sad, is very thoughtful.
This film is based on a book. The author is John Boyne who wrote this book to entertain readers with a touching story of two boys fiendship. The film informs also people about the terrible events that ocurred during the holocaust.

Who are the main characters in the film?
The main characters are Bruno and Shmuel.

Who is my favorite character?
My favorite character is Shmuel. He is a young Polish Jew who is a prisoner in Auschwitz. Shmuel is very innocent and seems not to quite understand why he is a prisoner.

What is the movie about?

A German boy called Bruno moves to a new house. From his room he sees a strange 'farm' with people wearing striped 'pyjamas'.  Bruno decides to go exploring, he meets a boy called Shmuel on the other side of a fence. Bruno and the boy become friends. Soon, the boy's father goes missing. Bruno decides that he will put the 'pyjama' and help his friend find his father. The two boys are put into a 'shower room' with a large number of men. Meanwhile, Bruno's parents realise that Bruno is missing and start to look for him. Bruno dies in the 'shower room' and his parents don't realise it until it is too late.
